Placing articles on other websites and directories that also reach your target audience is a well established marketing tactic. Articles were used to establish and enhance a business or person's credibility long before the Internet was invented.
The best places to put those articles, and the best ways to present them have changed significantly, especially over the last couple of years. There are dozens of sites that offer you the option of establishing your own "webpage" for free. These aren't MySpace and Facebook wannabes looking to garner millions of users interested in purely social interaction.
Squidoo, Hupages, Weebly, Tumblr, Wordpress.com and Blogger.com, Scribd, etc., etc., are all following a different business model. They all have their own rules about what is acceptable and unacceptable promotional content and their own audiences. That's why it's important to reach out to as many people as possible by using many of them.

Articles placed as webpages on web 2.0 properties look like mini-blogs. They can even be indexed and rank higher than your main blog in Google (at least initially). Yet few things will work as hard or as long as these articles to build your main site traffic and reputation, as well as promote it's ranking in the search engines.
Each of the major web 2.0 "parasite" sites as they are called (a term I hate), has it's own community and it's own set of terms and conditions on content. They also have strict parameters on what you can do with the look and feel of the space they give you.
Within those limitations we can create a great looking, effective, mini-website. It will be based on a longer article that really show your understanding of the subject. It can almost always include multiple images and sometimes slideshows and video as well as text. In addition, the "resource box" is often expanded to be a second page where we can gather an additional backlink as well as brand you (or your business).

- I will research and write a completely unique article of 700-1,000 words based on the keyword or theme you request. Any
- I will find and resize (if needed) royalty free images to use that do not infringe on anyone's copyright. Sorry, but I cannot create images as part of this package (though we can discuss your needs and I can quote a price to create custom images)
- I will write or edit your Author's info for the "about" page or section. This is usually a brief one to two sentance bio with a link to the page or domain of your choice. In some instances we will want a slightly longer bio, and may be allowed to include a picture if you would like.
- I will set up an account in your name at the site and supply you with the login in details as part of your final package.
- I will provide you with a .txt version of your article, all images and your login information upon completion. A little rewriting and this can do double duty as a post on your blog or page on your website. Please do take the time to add to or edit the article to make it unique content valuable to the search engines as well as visitors.
- If you would like, I can also bookmark this submission for you as an extra service. All bookmarks are manually done.
eZine Article Directory Placements
Few marketing vehicles have endured and fluorished online as the eZine Article directory has. Today, this is an "authority" article directory capable of delivering solid business leads and search engine ranking power to your main blog or website long after each article is placed on the site. It's strict rules on content quality, originality and linking are what has made it what it is.
Articles created for eZine articles (or other directories if you would like to purchase a multiple direcoty submission pack as well) typically average 500 words. We are allowed only one direct link in the resource box, and a lower keyword density.
One of the rules of the site is that each human being can only have one account. That means I submit articles there using your name, or a penname we create, under my account.
If you believe you'll be writing many articles yourself for inclusion in the eZine Article directory yourself, I will be happy to help you set up your own account there and will submit articles through your login. Your first articles may not appear for a week or more after submission.
