Ongoing Marketing

These are a few of the situations where I will work with a client on an ongoing basis instead of a one-time project.

  • Virtual Assistance - In the first instance, a client might need a few hours of my time every month to handle routine marketing tasks. We’ll talk and agree on a set number of hours per week or per month. Typically someone will want between five or 10 hours per month.  I can update content or handle administrative tasks (such as plugin updates, comment moderation or linkbilding) during those hours rather than billing $20 here and $50 there. I have one client who pays me a flat rate each month to upload their monthly newsletter to Constant Contact, format it correctly and distribute it for them. Typically I will package up hours for this type of work with a four-hour minimum.
  • Virtual Marketing Department - Online marketing “done for you” can free you to concentrate on what you do best. Building traffic and conversions online can take a mix of tactics you may or may not have the right inhouse resources to manage.  I can plan, execute and report on the success of all of our online marketing markets monthly.

Looking for something a little more specific?

Here are two of the most common requests for monthly help that I get:

  • Search Engine Optimization - Marketing your local business online has never been so complicated, or so essential for your overall business success.  An ongoing campaign to increase your search rankings may begin with onpage optimization, but ongoing link-building activities can involve many different online marketing disciplines and tactics. Changes in search algorithms have merged local Google Place listings and citations more closely with your regular website or blog and “regular” inbound links.
  • Social Media Management - I also act as a “ghost” blogger/tweeter and or Facebook moderator for some clients. Yes, transparency is very important in all phases of your social marketing and I do not blog as you. Instead we will create a blogging persona and penname that I will use online to represent you. We will clearly acknowledge that “Pen Name” has been hired by your company to keep the social community informed.
  • Please don’t contact me if you’re looking for some outrageously cheap quote for ongoing blogging services. If I agree to be your social media face I will spend many more hours becoming an expert in your field than you will see reflected on the page. I will learn your social outlets and promote your blog through and to them as well as write posts on a regular basis. I will take the same care to ensure that they are search optimized and link to your best converting pages. I aim to help you convert blog readers to happy, repeat customers.
