Talk about “buzzwords…”
If you read more than two online newsletters or blogs or watch TV, you know that Facebook is a country-sized company of consumers breathlessly waiting to buy whatever it is you want to sell them. And then there’s another large country called Twitter that can be conquered in just 140 characters. Afterwards you can celebrate your victory at the world’s largest Chamber of Commerce get together that is known as LinkedIn.
For those of you who are seriously wondering if either of these social networks is a truly viable place for you to network to build your business or even to advertise (yes, the old-fashioned way) on, there is only one honest answer:
It depends
It depends on whether or not you can isolate a group of prospects who are seriously interested and able to purchase your products or services on any or all of those platforms. It depends on your budgets for time and money. It depends on whether you want to commit to learning how to set up your presence on each of those platforms correctly to meet your specific business goal. And it depends on your ability to stick with whatever program you decide on and make it an integral part of your business building activities.
I can help you make those decisions, then put them in to action. I can help you:
- overcome the initial technical hurdles and get your Facebook Fanpage and Twitter account set up and configured for you to handle
- attract your first fans and help you build Facebook or Twitter followers
- select the right Linked In groups to join to launch your network building efforts
- completely run your social media marketing campaigns as I did for one travel agency branching out into luxury travel offers. Together we created a social media persona who blogged on luxury travel destinations and related news and also tweeted and interacted with travelers on the agency’s Facebook Fanpage.
